All of the NICKED Up sites have moved to a dedicated server. This should keep everything available during the spam attacks which have taken the sites down countless times over the last few months. If you notice anything acting funky, please let me know.
The Recent Posts page here at NICKED Up has an entirely new look and also runs a lot better than the old version. This page is a great way to keep updated on the activity around all of my blogs.
The new design for Card Tricks, which was mentioned in an earlier post, has gone live.
Card Tricks is in the process of getting some updates after over a year without any changes. Yesterday the video player was updated and today a new feature for viewing pictures was added. Other updates, including an entirely new layout, are also in the works. Additional updates will be be rolled out over the next couple of weeks.
3 new layouts in one week? Yes. This time it’s 2 Hole Cards.
My sites have been pretty dead to the world for the past few months, but there is life again.
Let’s hope the life continues and doesn’t disappear until July.
I’m getting back into the swing of things with blogging after a very slow couple of months. For some reason, my recent trip to Las Vegas refreshed my creative juices. Since I got back I’ve enjoyed updating the blogs again and am getting some new ideas for a site redesign at MtDewVirus. For now I’m keeping track of things that catch my eye using Google Notebook. Maybe I’ll start working on a design this weekend…maybe not.
Speaking of swings, my golf game is better than ever this year. I think the 2 weeks off from any courses will prove vital to getting me through the rest of the golf season.
With the recent sale of pokerchiptricks.com, I’m hoping to get Card Tricks up to the top in Google results. The other day I posted a new trick I’m sure a lot of people have seen before, but the Disappearing Card is still an Internet classic.

Poker Chip Tricks was sold nearly a month ago and I’ve finally gotten around to making the announcement. It’s been a roller coaster ride for the past 3-4 months and I’m glad it’s over with. Stop by the poker blog for more details.
I wrote a post earlier in the week about invoicing and when checking the site today I was very surprised to see that it wasn’t here. I’m not sure what happened. I’ve never had a problem with something disappearing from WordPress before.
I’ve started to use Blinksale to handle invoicing for advertisements that I use across the blog network. It’s a pretty slick little system and for $12/month it’ll easily pay for itself. Instead of losing track of when each advertiser needs to renew their ad I’ll simply set up recurring invoices with Blinksale and not have to worry about it. I’ll be sent a copy of the invoice at the same time the advertiser is and I’ll no longer go over a month with an expired ad for someone who wants to renew. I recently missed a month or more of advertising time with a fair number of advertisers, so it was time to get some help. The people behind Blinksale have put together a great service. It looks like there are some nice features in the works after it recently came out of a beta stage.
